It is once again that time of the year when manufacturers start releasing their flagship phones. As HTC U11 approaches 1 year of its release date, we’ve started seeing alleged speculations about what HTC U12 might have in its stock. Code-named HTC Imagine, this device first appeared in the 5G industry event. According to the LlabTooFeR, a ROM developer with excellent track record of leaking details about HTC devices has tweeted fairly good list of specifications.
HTC U12 alleged specs
It is likely that the device will feature 5.99″ QHD display with 18:9 aspect ratio. There’s no doubt that it will run on Snapdragon 845 SoC and could have as much as 6GB of RAM coupled with 256 GB of storage. Looking at the current industry trend, the device could feature dual camera system, with one being 12 MP sensor (not sure about the provider) and another one being Sony IMX3xx series 16 MP sensor. On the front, it would have 8 MP sensor. The phone is expected to have IP68 water resistance and 3420 mAh battery.

As usual, it will run on HTC Sense 10 and Android 8.0 Oreo. It will feature Edge Sense 2.0 (remember that squeeze feature?) and HTC Face unlock technology.
The phone is expected to be released sometime in April.
I’m personally expecting two versions of this flagship device, perhaps another one with smaller display. It will be interesting to see how it turns out (I always see HTC as underdogs in the smartphone market).
