It’s general knowledge by now that Samsung is going to launch its Galaxy Note 9 smartphone on August 9. But Note 9 won’t be launched alone — it will be accompanied by the new Samsung Gear S4 smartwatch, and now evidence has started piling up to suggest the same.
The latest evidence to suggest this has come from Eurasian Economic Commission (ECC). Samsung Gear S4 has recently been listed on ECC’s website pointing towards a launch in the coming days. Though the listing itself doesn’t reveal anything specific, early rumors have suggested that Samsung will use latest Panel Level Packaging (PLP) technology in this watch to slim down the chip and install a bigger battery in the space saved. Therefore we can expect Samsung Gear S4 smartwatch to offer a much better battery life than its predecessors.
Another rumor suggests that Samsung may also include a new sub-display in Gear S4. The new display will be hidden behind a translucent rotating bezel, and it may be used to present different options while using different apps. Improvements in sleep tracking, water resistance and dust resistance are also expected. Finally, a number of color options are also expected including black, silver and gold among others. More details may come out in next few days as launch date nears, and we’ll share them with you as they come out so keep checking back.
