HMD Global had promised that it will update its entire smartphone lineup to Android 9 Pie, and the company has started fulfilling that promise from today. Nokia 7 Plus, one of the flagship smartphones launched by the company this year, is set to receive the Pie update some time in September. This has been confirmed by none other than the CEO of HMD Global.
The Nokia 7 Plus Android Pie update was first spotted in beta earlier this month. The update is currently being tested, so we’re probably looking at a September rollout. This will also make Nokia 7 Plus the first Snapdragon 660 powered device to receive this update.
As far as other devices of the company are concerned, Nokia 8 Sirocco and Nokia 6.1 are next in line of importance, so hopefully, we may also hear something about Android pie update for these smartphones in the next few days. The company has set an ambitious vision of updating all its devices to the latest version of Android, which is commendable. It will be interesting to see whether it keeps that promise or not. But for now, one thing is confirmed – Nokia 7 Plus Android Pie update is coming in September to delight its users!
