It’s official. Android P will be called Android Pie.

Google has essentially unveiled the name of its next Android release that has been in development since march this year. According to the official website of Android, the latest installment of Android P/9 will be called Android Pie. The announcements comes well before our speculated date of August 20.

In announcing this final name of the Android build, Google has also highlighted bunch of features such as digital well-being and quick peeks that were announced at Google I/O 2018. As we learn from different sources, it is being reported that these two features in particular are still in development and will be released during the Pixel 3 announcement. We are also learning that these features would be exclusive to Pixel device owners for the first month and would roll out to others in subsequent months (including Android Go phones).
