A new video has popped up showing Pixel 3 in all its glory. Just last week we had couple of pictures showing the big notch. This 5 minute video goes into a lot of technical details such as benchmarks. Although the video is awfully painful to watch with portrait setup and blurry shots here and there, it does give us a best look at what hardware it will run on.
According to this video, the phone will run on Snapdragon 845 processor, 4 GB RAM and a giant 6.7 inch display. It will also have a 12 MP primary camera and 8 MP dual front camera setup. The battery seems little small with just 3430 mAh. The storage that we are seeing in the video is about 64 GB. As the video gets closer to the end, it becomes clear that the green power button is back with glossy white finish. The phone also seems to have wallpaper support in always-on-display.
My thoughts on Pixel 3
The 4 GB RAM is bummer. Believe me when I say this because I’m using Pixel 2 XL with 4 GB RAM and it certainly gets sluggish occasionally. The screen size is new but with that it could potentially have bigger screen size for smaller variant. The resolution would still be 2k and I think it should be fine with this kind of screen size. The notch is really annoying too because of its sheer size. If this is going to be their final product, I don’t think it will be wise to go for it.
