Samsung launches Galaxy J2 Core, company’s first Android Go smartphone

In a most surprising move, Samsung has announced its very own Android Go powered device aka Galaxy J2 Core. Being a budget smartphone aimed at emerging markets, it was already available in India and Malaysia. It will also be available in Indonesia and other emerging markets within the next few days.

Coming to the specifications, it has pretty much everything that a first-time smartphone buyer or an affordable smartphone buyer may want to have on his phone. It comes with a 5-inch qHD (540 x 960 px) screen, company’s own quad-core Exynos 7570 chipset, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 8mp primary camera and 5mp secondary camera. Beautify mode and some other major features of Samsung’s camera app have been included to provide a decent photography experience even on this budget device. The battery capacity of Samsung Galaxy J2 Core is 2,600 mAh, and it comes with Android Oreo Go edition out of the box. Cat4 LTE, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi have also been packed with this super budget friendly device.
