Asus Zenfone 5Z running Android Pie spotted on Geekbench

Ever since Android 9 Pie has been released users around the globe are waiting to receive it on their devices. Some manufacturers have put out the lists of devices that will receive this update while others have remained silent. Asus belongs to the latter crowd. Now, however, it seems that the company is all set to release the much-awaited update for Asus Zenfone 5z. Want to know why? Well, because a unit of this device has already been spotted on Geekbench running Android 9.0 Pie.

Clearly, something is cooking. Company’s developers may be testing their build of the OS before releasing it to the public, as it’s done before the rollout of any major update. Asus Zenfone 5z was launched earlier this year in February. It comes with Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB RAM, 6.2-inch display, 12mp+8mp dual lens rear camera, 8mp front camera, 64GB internal storage and 2TB external storage. A 3,300 mAh battery powers the device, and it comes with support for QuickCharge 3.
