Xiaomi’s Mi A1 is now receiving Android 9 pie update. Multiple users have reported that they received the update notification and the size is around 1GB. The Pie update for the Mi A2 Lite was released two weeks ago. Just to remind you, Xiaomi Mi A1 was released in 2017 under Android One programme, which promises faster updates. However, it is quite some time since Google released the Android 9 pie.
The new features include FM Radio which was earlier missing from the phone. Other features are similar to the Android pie like Adaptive Battery/Brightness, Digital Wellbeing, easier screen rotation in fixed rotation mode, easier text Selection, and better notification management. Some of the minor changes include App Actions, Slices, and new Accessibility menu. Apart from these, the update comes with Improved stability & performance including security patch level updated to November 5, 2018. The new gesture navigation is the part of the update too. Update 1: Global rollout
Xiaomi Mi A1 has started receiving Android Pie update globally. The update size is the same as the update size from other markets i.e., 1074 MB. We’re also seeing reports of inconsistent network connectivity with some LTE bands, so, I would ask you guys to hold on for few more days.
