Pixel 3 and 3 XL Lite are real, arriving on Verizon by Spring 2019

Google Pixel 3 lite

Remember the time when we talked about alleged Pixel 3 and 3 XL Lite variant? It is making headlines again. According to the AndroidPolice, Google is reportedly planning to launch this mid-budget segment device sometime in Spring 2019 through Verizon. There’re no details available surrounding as to what the price of this device would be but if we’re to be guessing based on that “lite” keyphrase, it could be around $450.

I remember the time when there was this Nexus lineup and those phones had a price tag of about $400. In fact, the last phone from that line Nexus 5X was simply marvelous. Although these new “lite” variants won’t have the top-notch hardware reserved for the original Pixel 3 and 3 XL, rumors say that it could have Snapdragon 670 or 710. As far as RAM is concerned, Google will most probably stick to the 4GB which I absolutely hate on my Pixel 2. The Pixel 3 and 3 XL Lite could also bring back headphone jack although I don’t understand why. The phones would mostly have 32 GB of internal storage, 12 MP primary camera, and 8-megapixel front camera. The Pixel 3 Lite will supposedly have 5.5″ inch display while its big brother will have a 6-inch display. All these details are from different sources and based on independent rumors.

Will this be a good choice in the US market? It is something we will have to see in the coming future but surely there’s some void in the mid-budget segment that needs to be filled up with a superior camera and good enough hardware.
