If you’re a rich Olympics fan, Samsung has got something special for you. The company has just launched a new Olympics focused special edition of its latest flagship Samsung Galaxy S10+. Specs-wise there’s nothing different in it from the regular Galaxy S10+, and all the difference is that of design only. The device comes in a unique Prism White color option, and it has got the logo of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games on its back. Available in a partnership with Japan’s predominant mobile phone operator Docomo, the device will come bundled with truly wireless Galaxy buds too.
Samsung Galaxy S10+ Olympics Special Edition pricing and availability
Samsung has been a sponsor of the Olympic games since 1998. And ever since it entered the smartphone business it has also had the tradition of launching an Olympic-themed version of its flagship phone. Galaxy Note, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy Note 8 – all have had their special editions tailored to Olympic games. Therefore, it’s not very surprising to see the launch of this special edition Samsung Galaxy S10+ from the company. About 10,000 units of this device will be made available in July, and it will retail for about $1,000. It’s highly improbable that the company will make it available outside Japan, but we can’t say that with certainty.
By the way… won’t this device be outdated by the time of Olympics? Would you still want to have it? What do you think? Share your thoughts in the comments.
