Are you one of those Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 users who’re still waiting for the Android Pie update for their tablet? If yes, then you’re about to get it soon. The Pie update for Galaxy Tab S4 is now being rolled out worldwide, and users in many countries where it hadn’t been rolled out earlier are starting to receive it. The update was long overdue as other Samsung devices launched around the same time with the tablet already received the update.
More details on Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 Pie update
Samsung had already rolled out Pie update for the LTE version of Galaxy Tab S4 last month. However, that update was limited to LTE variant only and even for that variant it was further limited to certain geographies. Now today all those restrictions are being lifted and the update is reaching everywhere. Bulgaria, Poland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Kazakhstan, Israel, Netherlands, Portugal, Singapore, Romania, Switzerland, Slovakia, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine are the countries where this update is being rolled out now.
Samsung’s newly developed One UI is a part of this update, which means that you’ll have a very distinct experience once you receive this update. If you’ve already used a Samsung device with One UI then your experience will be a familiar one, but of course, some of the tweaks included are exclusive to Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 so you’ll find a few surprises.
Galaxy S7 May 2019 security patch
A media report from SamMobile has also suggested that Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge – the flagships of the company launched 3 years ago – are also going to receive an update. That update will bring them the Security patch of May 2019. Users in UK are already receiving the patch update, and even if you’re a user in any other geography your device may receive it soon as it’s a security-related update. You can also check for it manually by navigating to Settings >> Software update section of your device.
