OnePlus 7 series might have been launched with some of the best specs possible, but OnePlus it is continuously trying to improve its software through updates. A new update rolled out today brings major camera improvements, May security patch and Oxygen OS 9.5.7 to the device. And here we’re going to take a look at all the changes brought by this update in brief.
What’s new in Oxygen OS 9.5.7 for OnePlus 7
Let’s start with camera improvements first, as they’re the key highlights of this update. Those improvements, as per the changelog, are as follows:
- Improved overall contrast and color performance
- Improved accuracy and stability of autofocusing
- Improved clarity and color of Nightscape mode
- Improved brightness and clarity in an extremely low light scene of Nightscape.
That is for the camera improvements. But of course, since it’s an update to the Oxygen OS, it also brings a number of general bug fixes and other improvements. The details of those improvements have not been shared by the company though. Security patch of May 2019 is also coupled with this update, so it’s clearly not an update that you would want to miss. The update size is 125mb, and if you’ve not received its notification yet then you can get it by manually checking for updates from Settings >> System >> System updates option.
The first major update of OnePlus 7 series was rolled out last month in the form of Oxygen OS 9.5.4. That particular update brought DC dimming, Fnatic mode, and April 2019 security patch. Now this update has brought the improvements mentioned above. It’s clear that the company is trying to keep its latest flagship ahead of the competition for several months by delivering timely software updates alone. Let’s see for how long they maintain this track record of monthly updates!
