After a long delay, It looks like Samsung Galaxy Fold is finally set to hit the market in coming days. We had been hearing of a July launch from some unofficial sources in the last week, but that was denied by a company representative about 5 days ago. Now the company has said that the device is going to be launched soon. Mr. Kim Seong-cheol, the Vice President of Samsung Display, recently told the Korean news site The Investor in a statement regarding the update on Samsung Galaxy Fold.
Mr. Kim Seong-cheol’s statement on Samsung Galaxy Fold
“Most of the display problems have been ironed out, and the Galaxy Fold is ready to hit the market. The Galaxy Fold, when released, will receive a lot of attention in the market.”
So, it’s ready to hit the market. But exactly when will it hit the market is still not known, as Samsung has not provided any specific launch date. 3 weeks ago they had said that a release date for Samsung Galaxy Fold will be announced soon, but it has not been announced till now, which means that a release in June is ruled out now. And the release in July was ruled out last week, which means that we’re probably going to get it in August. If that happens, its release will coincide with the release of Galaxy Note 10. And it doesn’t seem that Samsung is concerned about this clash.
Let’s see when this much-awaited device hits the market, and what kind of response it receives after that.
