We’re entering the era of 5G, and therefore it’s not surprising that smartphone makers are launching one after another new device with 5G support. We’ve already seen how Samsung and OnePlus have launched 5G variants of their respective smartphones (namely Galaxy S10 and OnePlus 7 Pro), and now Xiaomi is also looking set to enter the club with its next launch. The company is looking all set to launch a 5G variant of its Mi 9 smartphone in the coming days, and according to the information leaked today this new variant is likely to come with many other distinctive features too.
What to expect from Xiaomi Mi 9 5G
The information regarding this upcoming device was leaked by Twitter tipster Xiaomishka. According to a tweet sent out by Xiaomishka, Mi 9 5G will come with model number M1908F1XE. It will have a bigger screen with 2k resolution (presumably 1,080 x 2,340 px), optical image stabilization (OIS) in main camera unit, and bigger battery life. Though nothing else has been revealed in Xiaomishka’s leak, other rumors suggest that it may also come with the latest Snapdragon 855+ processor instead of the regular 855. Overall, it may turn out to be a better device in all major departments when compared with its predecessor, which is a big deal. Smartphone makers generally don’t introduce so many changes in the 5G variants of their flagships.

My chinese colleague said that new Xiaomi Mi 9 5G (model M1908F1XE) should have some new features:
1) screen becomes bigger 2k
2) main shot for new plus OIS
3) battery increase

Now, if all of this comes true in Mi 9 5G then the device may also come with a higher price tag. It will be interesting to see how higher that price tag goes because we have not heard any rumors about it at the moment.
