Motorola is planning to launch Edge+ smartphone on April 22

If you thought that Motorola is pretty much dead after Lenovo acquired its smartphone business, you could not be more wrong about it. After launching a foldable display (and nostalgic) Razr smartphone, the company is planning to launch Edge+ smartphone this month. The company has teased about the e-vent through a tweet.

According to the rumors, the phone is expected to have 6.67″ FHD display with 90 Hz refresh rate, a combination of three camera lenses at the back and 12 GB RAM. The phone could also have 5G connectivity and 5000 mAh battery. The availability of 5G connectivity makes me believe that the phone could exclusively be available through Verizon Wireless.

If you’ve been following this from last few weeks, you would be aware of the CAD renders that were leaked by evleaks. Based on these renders, it is pretty clear that the phone would have rounded edges (similar to the last generation Galaxy S series).

The event will most likely be held as an online-only due to the current COVID-19 situation.
